What have the Warriors done?

As the dust settles over Steve Price's "demotion" from the role of Warriors captain and Simon Mannering's elevation there appears to be two schools of thought doing the rounds.

The first is that Price has been given an unceremonious punt from the top job and has paid the price – excuse the pun – for the team's poor performance in 2009.

The other is that Mannering deserves the job. ...

You have to give it to Tim Sheens, he certainly knows how to turn it up when the pressure is on.

In the build up to the first clash between Australia and the Kiwis, Sheens opened up a can of worms by announcing to the media that there was a faction in the Wests Tigers club that was quite happy to give Benji Marshall the punt.

If you were a cynical type you'd say this was an attempt to rattle Marshall before the big game. ...

Well folks, it's been a couple of weeks since our last competition so first of all I apologise, I've managed to get away from the office for a quick little trip.

The NRL is quite literally reaching boiling point, the All Blacks finally struck some form and the Silver Ferns grabbed a decent win over the Aussies as well.

We've had Serena Williams and Roger Federer both kicking their potty mouths into full speed, Renault being busted for the biggest dog act of them all in motorsport and of course the fantastic win by Kim Clijsters who must now rival Lance Armstrong for the comeback of the year.

This Saturday's game between the Warriors and the Storm will bring the curtain down on a season that offered so much yet delivered very little for Warriors fans.

It's also going to mark the day Stacey Jones hangs up his boots for good.
